God’s Voice & Wait to Hear

on July 10, 2008

Not in the mighty wind
Not in the earthquake
Not in the blazing fire
But in the whisper
… Is Your voice

I want to hear You
Teach me to listen
Here in the quietness
Of this holy place

Jesus, come talk to me
So I may know Your will for me
Please just come talk to me
And with all my heart I will obey
Your voice

"the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake,
and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?
" [1 Kings 19:11-13]

….. …..

Many times we hurry to hear God’s voice after 15 seconds in our quiet time.
Many times we expect God will talk to us in the pattern we used to hear.

Quiet time … we may give up to hear when we are impatient to WAIT
so we leave that time without knowing that GOD would like to speak.

We have many plans to do in trouble heart daily.
That’s why we can wait until the silence comes.

Many times God don’t use the same way as I expect to hear.
He is the great God, so we can’t limit Him in our ways.
He has many many ways to speak through us beyond the thoughts.
I can tell you God has more than 10,000 ways to speak with men.

Do we practice the discipline to WAIT for HEARING?

Elijah didn’t hear God with the thunder or wind but in the silence.
God’s voice came in the right time till calm tim. It’s whisper of TENDER VOICE
to show me how to get out of trouble/problems & His will for prosper & peace plan! [Jer 29:11]
